Mass housing programs junked for ZTE project
Mass housing programs for millions of public servants are not in the priority list of the national government. This revelation came out after Joey de Venecia, son of the former House Speaker and a key witness in the NBN-ZTE broadband scandal, found out that funding for the government's mass housing projects was scrapped in the original development programs of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and deliberately substituted them with that of the ZTE broadband project. The younger de Venecia confirmed to media that he has copies of the authenticated documents to prove that NEDA was somehow involved in this divertionary tactics, perhaps, due to pressures from top Malacanang officials. De Venecia admitted, too, that the documents were sent to him by Malacanang insiders themselves who might have infuriated at the way things are going on under the present administration.
